A fragrant, delicate style that's smooth, fleshy and medium-weight, with very detailed flavors that are complex and minerally. Drink now through 2018. 196 cases made. —J.L.
"92" Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/June 2011
Ruby-red. Powerfully scented, complex bouquet evokes cherry-cola, black raspberry, spicecake, rose oil and pungent herbs. Sappy red and dark berry flavors show palate-staining depth and surprising mineral bite, picking up finegrained tannins on the back end. Focused, sweet and pure pinot, with admirable finishing thrust and resonating minerality.
